Jayshen's Offers
Lehigh
Several d2's
Several D3's
The Story
-
Truth be told, Jayshen was unsure if he wanted to play collegiate basketball. After being able to see Jayshen's development up close, FBR specialists were able to identify his ability to be a contributor at the next level.
-
Although Jayshen averaged over 15 ppg and 5 apg as a junior, Jayshen did not have a single Division 1 offer. There were tons of D2 and D3 interest, though.
-
FBR put a development plan and place him on a path towards the Division One level.
-
FBR was in constant & DIRECT communication daily with college coaches.
-
FBR alerted college coaches as to where Jayshen would be playing and followed up with his schedules as they were made available.
- FBR requested feedback from college coaches in order to improve Jayshen's play in between live periods.
- FBR attended unofficial and official visits for support and helped in the final decision making.
- Lehigh University offered Jayshen a Preferred Walk-On spot on the team. This type of offer allows Jayshen a guaranteed spot on the team. He took full advantage of this opportunity, playing in 4 games as a freshman, 11 games as a sophomore, 11 games as a junior, and 16 games as a senior, highlighted by playing and scoring against UNC at the Dean Smith Center (see above video).
- FBR works diligently to change someone's life and Jayshen is a prime example of a different path, but same goal!
